Afternoon Walk

Today Hosanna, Helayna and I headed out for a walk along our back roads. I was thinking we'd be gone for maybe an hour and then back home but it was so nice out with this warm weather we've been having! The sun was shining nicely and it was so peaceful.

Of course, there's always time for a few pictures :)

25 MPH wasn't quite her speed ;) However I was very proud of this little girl because she walked a total of 8 miles today!!!! We walk all the way to the main road (the Glenn) which is 4 miles from our house and all the way back....don't ask how long it took! We made it there in an hour and half but the way home was a little slower. We stopped frequently both directions for Helayna who's 7-year-old legs couldn't quite keep up with our's and spent a lot of our way home carrying her!

We had a little company on the way home :) Some of the neighbors dogs came out to the road to "greet" us and so did some moose....

Not sure if you can see but in the picture on the right the moose are in the middle there close to the road. Just glad we didn't have a moose charging us or those dogs!

And here we are celebrating our goal of making it to the hwy!!! YAY! 

A TOTAL OF 8 MILES ALTOGETHER!! ;)

So proud of us!! Then we just had to make it home...yeah, not as many exciting photos, we were pretty tired!

It felt so good though and I am so glad we went for it, feel a little bad we pushed Helayna a little too far I think but she'll sleep good tonight from it ;)

I'm going to try and convince my siblings to do it again Sunday evening for evening service and walk as far as we can to the Church! {Already looking forward to it}

Hope you are all able to get out and enjoy this "spring" weather we're having, cause it won't be long and we'll be under snow again I'm sure! And as for everyone in the south...sorry our cold decided to pay you a visit, I hope you're able to stay warm and snuggle indoors!

Warm blankets, Ice-Cream and my Bible

 A lovely, quiet evening! I was able to get to bed a little earlier then usual one evening last week and enjoyed a little ice cream and my Bible-reading before closing my eyes for the night! I am going back through the book of Mathew, I always enjoy going through the Gospel books. Where are you reading right now?

Spring forecast?!?!

I'm afraid not...nope, the forecast actually has snow in it nearly everyday!

This isn't exactly what I wanted to find as the weather after the first day of Spring! Oh well, we are always a little later with Spring, and that's ok....our Alaskan summers makes up for it!!

Sunday at last!

Oh! Its finally Sunday afternoon! Yay!

After a long week and another one expected to come, it is nice to take a few minutes and enjoy a Sunday afternoon. A day of rest! We can put all the world's adventures, scares, worries, and work aside and rest up to face another week all over again.

Praise the Lord for Sundays!

Delightful Surroundings!

A delightful surrounding...pleasurable, peaceable, quiet, and mild.

That would be my definition of my delightful surroundings today! I am sitting at the shop, it's quiet here today and the sun is coming through the windows lighting everything up and warming my back. It is deceitfully making me think of Spring time, causing me to forget that lovely large snowflakes were covering my scarf and coat this morning! I dare not look out side though the sun is calling me to, but what greets my eyes will be a pile of snow, snow on the tree, and very small flakes falling from the sky.
Still, it is beautiful and I would rather have snow right now then a number of other weather conditions!

I enjoyed a lovely blueberry muffin and vanilla bean yogurt, while scrolling through Pinterest! {It doesn't get much better then that!}. I was also able to capture a few more Thoughts for Tea Time pictures for future use, which always gives me great pleasure!
I am also enjoying looking through blogs and listening to instrumental music! Plus finding a recipe that looks to be delicious which I am hoping to try very soon :)

My surroundings currently= complete delight!
And I am enjoying every bit of it before I start dusting and sweeping and all the fun stuff I actually get payed to do :)
